The 28th Annual Adams Mad Hatter’s Luncheon and Hat Auction will take place at 11:30 am on Saturday October 7, 2023 as an in-person event at the Sheraton/LeMeridian Hotel, 555 McDowell St. Charlotte, NC.

Each year, the event includes remarks from leading political figures, a contest for the best hats worn by attendees, and an auction of 12-15 hats, many signed by celebrities and VIPs. Past year’s event featured hats signed by President Joe Biden, Secretary Hillary Clinton, Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, Joyce Beatty, Debra Ross, Anthony Hamilton, and many others.
The event has hosted luminaries from across North Carolina and the country, including Vice President Kamala Harris, First Lady Jill Biden, and numerous members of the US Senate, CBC, CPC, and House of Representatives. The first Mad Hatter was held in Greensboro, NC, which Adams represented in the North Carolina General Assembly for 20 years, before moving to Charlotte in 2014.
